After reading Moneyball several years ago, I asked the same question and got two distinct replies. The first reply was "No, way too small of a sample size with 16 games (NFL) and the ability to measure individual performance is too hard to quantify." Obviously, the other answer is yes. Football Outsiders is the closest I have found to statistically quantifying football like the Sabermetrics. Below is a link. FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Methods To Our Madness Also, I heard from a reliable movie goer, that the Moneyball movie is good.
"Hats off to coach Miles," Holgorsen said. "We showed up tonight in a very hostile environment," said Miles, whose team has three wins over ranked teams all away from Tiger Stadium and has won 36 straight non-conference regular season games since 2002. "By this time we know what it takes to go on the road. We have a real strong road personality, but no matter the environment we are going to play."
i saw it and its very good. but im a baseball nerd. pitt and the now skinny fat guy make it work. much to my surprise. jonah hill.
Am curious to see the movie, but can't understand why Sports Illustrated wasted a cover with Brad Pitt. Let the entertainment rags take care of that! :geauxtige
Which is a byproduct of the QB coaching and play calling. We have made it very simple for Lee and it carries through to the offense. Right now, we are going 1st option 95% of the time. Those wouldn't be open if the right calls aren't made. Big change from last year with all the different personnel packages, simplified pre snap checks by the QBs and WRs. Lee is doing a great job of throwing to the right spot and getting it off quickly. Also leading the team in the huddle. It all starts in the booth.
I've also seen Lee make adjustments at the line depending on what he reads from the defense. I have seen a LSU QB do that in a long time.
There are a considerable number teammates that want Jefferson back. I agree, as this is at least 2 games where Lee has hit 8 different receivers. I am sure the team is very happy with the way the wealth is being spread around. A jj running around takes that away.
this is great info nice find I suspect our highest MOE % was against MSU and it was still just under 12 percent.
