This is Hillarious!!!!!   The best that the Democrats and supporters of Kerry can do is be on the same side as the people who attacked us on September 11 by having to defend them! Long Live Kerry in the Senate doing what he does best, missing role call. :thumb:   Irony at its very finest! :thumb:
What the hell did you say? That because I disagree with your political choice, then I'm on the same side as the people who attacked us on 9/11? I know you're not that dim. Are you just insulting me for the fun of it? Nobody is defending bin Ladin here, chief. I was challenging the guy's source, since the story has not been told that way by any of the major news outlets -- even FOX. This is a forum for political discussion, after all. USCpuke was sliming Kerry by trying paint bin Ladins comments as supporting Kerry, when it didn't happen. You've decided to slime me personally. I think Bush needs replacing, so you paint me on the same side as bin Ladin! Americans have the right to vote for the candidate of their choice every four years and I'm exercising that right in a couple of hours. I'm doing my duty to my country by participating in the election. I don't care if you vote for Bush, Sourdough. It's your right. I don't even think you're crazy for doing so, I know you have your reasons. It's a pity you have no repect for mine. I've pointed out Bush's shortcomings here quite often, but I've never made his supporters out to be demons just for supporting their candidate. Much less enemies of America for doing so. I've always liked you Sourdough, but if you really believed I'm on the same side as the people who attacked America on 9/11 just because I support the other candidate, then you would be a damn fool and a miserable bastard. But I know you pretty well. I think you are just fired up on election day and made a thoughtless comment. I'll be glad when this friggin' election is over.
My comments, or the NY Posts?? I don't see where I posted an editorial here, chief. You call the Post tabloid journalism, and I call the Times left wing propaganda. I posted the source, quoted directly from the story and will let the people decide if this reflects poorly on Kerry or not. As far as people saying that you are trying to defend bin laden I totally disagree, and it is why I posted this:
Take it easy Red, I don't think your on the same side as OBL but SabanFan had a point and it sure looked like you were defending OBL with your posts. If you look at my post I had symbols in them meaning I thought this whole thread including your posts here were funny. I'm very lite-headed lately as I'm comfortable that Bush will win and could care less about Kerry or any more political ads from either side. I seriously can't wait til the elections over because I'm tired of politics like its been the past 6 months or so. I'm not fired up just very happy to go vote and get this election over with!
No way was my implication that Red supports OBL. I said it was ironic that he had to argue for OBL in order to defend Kerry. uscpuke read the OBL remarks as saying Bush states would be in danger. Red pointed out that OBL was not referring to the United States but rather to international states, so, in a sense, he was arguing against the proposition that OBL threatened Americans. Red may be a Kerry supporter but his love for his country is not in question.
Make that Bush states, Kerry states would be spared...per the article. I am no language expert and do not pretend to be. I simply paraphrased someone who is :thumb:
I'm not terribly annoyed, Sourdough. And I appreciate everybody's clarifications. Hey, it's election day, I'm fired up as well, and ready to go off tilting at windmills. Don't take me too seriously.
