Am I the only conservative that wanted the Olympics in Chicago? Politics aside the Olympics in Chicago would have been a positive for the US. Chicago is a great city to visit. I dont think Obama should have pitched the deal but I would love to have seen Chicago get the Olympics.
I'm convinced that the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution are philosophical products of the Scottish Enlightenment. Sadly, the manipulative duopoly has supplanted the simple and legitimate law of the land with an illegitimate legal system. the prize shouldve gone to the Tieneman protesters. regarding the Olympics, Obama was in a no win situation. everyone knew Rio was going to get it. if he doesnt present at the meeting (like all other heads of state do), he looks bad. if he does present he looks bad. the question was which is worse. its debatable and depends on who you ask.

I was completely serious. Do you really think there would have been open and competitive bidding for the new Olympic construction? It would have been corruption on a gargantuan scale. Chicago and the Daley clan made their bed. Now let them sleep in it. Besides, Rio was a done deal and not even a surprise appearance by Barry and the Vandellas was going to change that.

These are not Obama policy failures. It's Obama maintaning strict requirement for appointees. You want a list of people who left the Bush administration under indictment and subpoena? Global Warming is not an Obama policy failure. Is that all you got?
