Great post Red, I think their are always preconditions, you are not meeting with folks for a movie and dinner. It is always a precept on the meetings and a agenda. You can be very forceful through diplomacy.

I credit George Bush and his administration for getting some transparency out of North Korea finally. Why, because they are starving as a country and the will and hunger of those people far outweigh their nuclear ambitions.

Red, I didn't mean to infer that Reagan's build up didn't hasten the end of the old Soviet Union. But the collapse was inevitable, the revisionist part is when some make it sound like the Soviet Union was on sound footing and Reagan single handedly did them in.

But Reagan did have the stones to confront them and build up our military, and I rank him very high on the list of recent presidents, when we had that recent poll.

Hey the man deserves some credit in his mild success in handling N. Korea, a real threat to a number of countries.:thumb:

 This kind of lunacy is exactly why the Dems aren't wiping the floor with the GOP in the Presidential polls right now. I'm buying stock in Reynolds cause the tin foil is gonna be flying off the Whole Foods shelves as November approaches.

Seriously, if Obama loses to McCain, the Dems are going to friggin' implode under the weight of the ultra-left tin foil hat crowd. And Al Sharpton shrieking racism. And Bill Clinton sayin' "I told you fools!".

    I can't wait!

On second thought...maybe I'll go to the tropics from Halloween through Valentines Day...
