Absolutely! I hope all the republicans feel the same way. Vote against a Jobs Bill and run a candidate in 2012 who wants to eliminate Social Security. That's the ticket!

This isn't a Jobs bill. The GOVT does NOT provide jobs.

It's like saying the Patriot Act is Patriotic. Just meaningless words to the Govt.

Don't be misled by right-wing propaganda. These aren't government jobs, they are private sector jobs and the government does provide them to get the economy moving. Do you remember the TVA dams and the Hoover dam projects, the CCC and NRA programs that that provided jobs millions for people during the depresssion and kept the economy moving. It is absolutely the job of government to take measures to help insure that the private sector is working.

Quick fix. Temporary jobs. This plan does nothing to solve either the economic or employment problems. He's trying to put Pubs in a corner. Smart people will see through that. GOP will never give him the tax increases he wants. Politics as usual for Obama. Pretty talk no substance.

Seems to me like he probably knew ahead of time that he wouldn't have republican support to pass this bill. Playing politics, that's all this is. How many times did he say "pass this bill"? Count em up.

Want to jump start the economy? Here is a sure fire way to get things rock'n and Rollin.
Open all federal lands ,that aren't national parks or military bases, and all federal waters to oil and gas drilling. Make all permits go through with less than a three month delay.
Every piece of equipment , every pipe and all other materials bought in America and made in America by American companies completly tax deductable. Mandate that any and all product found be put into the market with no hesitation. That would cause an energy industry boom that would drag us out of this soon to be double dip recession.
This will never happen because rainbow dust has shown to be much better as a fuel and unicorn milk burns so much cleaner in our electrical plants.
Hug a tree, save a whale and starve an American family.
The green economy at it's best.

Yes drink Reds favorite flavor koolade instead and be mislead by left wing propaganda. The curtain has been pulled back and the wizard of Oz has been exposed. The smoke and mirror snake oil salesman routine has grown old. Three years in and were still being fed campaign slogans and fairy tales. All talk and no substance. Someone please let me know when he stops crying about the Republicans being mean to him and actually does his job.
