This: Why didn't you say that? My issue was not with the speech, rather the lesson plans that accompanied it. The WH has since backed off or modified the objectionable stuff. GOP doesn't need to apologize for squat. After the way Bush was treated, the only STFU should be directed at Democrats. Obama is pissing conservatives off and you may as well get used to constant criticism. When a speech like this becomes divisive, then partisan politics is way out of control in this country. If Obama said the sky was blue, Republican America would be shocked and outraged at the socialism of it all. :lol:
it does seem as intense as ever right now, the way republicans are just hammering every word obama says. i think it is terrific and i really like that the word "socialist" is such an effective tool to cast someone as negative. and i have never understood what crazy partisanship is bad. compromise is terrible. if the republicans blockade every single thing the democrats want, good. in particular i really like this outrage over the speech. lets keep it up. lets not forgey what obama is doing. and when a republican replaces him, lets hammer him as well, because he will surely be only slightly less of a big-government lunatic as well.
