You never did really answer the question. 1. Have presidents before been on TV or talked with school children? 2. What party affiliation were they? 3. Were any those talks political in nature? Now I know the answer to all and you do also. IF the answer is YES to 1 and 3, then you should politely sit down and be quiet. Otherwise you should be arguing that when it happened before it was wrong and why it was wrong. ETc. ETc.
How many presidents asked the children to tell him how he inspired them? How many presidents asked the children to write down how they can help HIM? How many presidents encouraged the posting of his own "notable quotes"? How many former presidents are president right now because that's all I am concerned about. Respond after recess.
connecting the dots to what. This fake socialist agenda you and the GOP have cooked up and bought into, to win back some seats? Yea ok. Carry on!
It was included in the teaching materials. http://blog.heritage.org/2009/09/03/politicizing-the-department-of-education/ Personally, my concern is not about upcoming elections, except to provide some resistance to the left wing's agenda. I see a concerted effort to (in Obama's words) "fundamentally change America". 37 unvetted Czars, more than one of whom are avowed haters of America, government takeover of the auto industry, uncontrolled spending and attempts to push through "reform" with no debate, Obama's Chicago connections and radical associates (laugh all you want but it's very well documented), taxing Americans to try and affect the impossible (climate change)...This is not a joke to me and many other Americans.
These were part of the suggested lesson plans for teachers regarding the address. I just received an e-mail that my school will, in fact, be showing the address on the 10th, two days after the address. Parents will be allowed to opt out of their child viewing the address. This has trainwreck written all over it.
thats pretty ridiculous, GOP doesnt want debate on reform, they want to continue to spread falsehoods and not offer any solution themselves, especially on healthcare. The party of no will suffer just as much as democrats who try to push through legislation without civil debate, not shyt about Death Panels and socialized medicine. I see you didnt include the govt takeover of banks and insurance agencies (TARP). You just happen to leave that out. (When does it stop with you?) Just someone accuses someone in a position of being a communist doesnt make it true. I can say you love to have gay sex and 10 people believe it, that doesnt mean its true. signed Lee Atwater.
Here are the teaching materials. All I see are suggested activites, written by Teaching Ambassador Fellows, US Depatment of Education, for students before, during, and after a Presidential speech to them. Fairly typical corny teacher stuff and non-partisan. Nothing particularly onerous here that I can see, but more importantly, Obama didn't ask anything on it, as you had stated.
I left out the banking takeover because, constitutionally, the government has that right. Besides, TARP is a bi-partisan cluster fk. Get over the fact that AIG was bailed out. I didn't make that call and I didn't benefit from it. I cannot debate your "talking points". The GOP has several proposals out there but the Republic of Pelosi won't even consider them. Typical to try and blame the Republicans when the Democrats are the ones in power and are the ones screwing everything up. You are OK with having self-avowed commies and radical America haters in the White House? Doesn't sound like your politics. I suspect you are more interested in defending Obama than you are in defending the Dems.
