What is that supposed to mean? Do you actually feel someone in the Bush administration should waste a half-second of thought towards a solution to the Shia-Sunni problem? How so? Iraqi security forces are growing and are receiving excellent training. They need experience, of which there is certainly no shortage, and numbers (hmmm, maybe the President got something right?). Bombings, kidnappings, shootings in Iraq are happening because: 1. Shia Muslims hate Sunni Muslims. 2. Sunni Muslims hate Shia Muslims. 3. Muslims hate Christians and Jews. And these 3 things have been true for 1400 years. These people have been killing each other for centuries. But now it's suddenly Bush's fault? Typical liberal lies have ignorant masses of Americans believing Bush somehow managed to piss-off millions of peace-loving Arabs. Sure they want the U.S. to leave the middle east. And that's fine, we want to leave. All they have to do is stop killing and bombing in Iraq for a few months. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Whatever. Hillary, B. Hussein Obama, Pelosi? Can you paraphrase an idea from one of them? I don't recall these major Democratic leaders offering anything that will leave the Iraqi people better off then they are now. Wait, isn't Hillary crawfishing now? At least until January 2009, to be specific. :hihi::hihi::hihi:
That was a big mistake on Obama's part. To his credit he realized his error and admitted the mistake. Politicians speak so much and so often it is not surprising that they often catch foot-in-mouth disease. President Reagan even presented members of his staff who mis-spoke with a bronzed foot with a hole in it. It is an occupational hazard.
Why else are we there? Saddamn is gone, the WMD's were imaginary, Iraq is no threat to us. Why else is Bush nation-building in Iraq? If he's staying there and he's NOT trying to solve the Shia/Sunni problem, then he is really out of touch with reality. They are accomplishing little to nothing after 4 years of fine training. They are incompetent, unmotivated, poorly led, and infiltrated by the enemy. It's Bush's fault because we are there babysitting this middle eastern mess. It cannot be more obvious. It's not our fight. Do you ever watch the news, fan? I mean really pay attention to what is going on? First of all, there are no masses of ignorant Americans. Secondly, it's no lie that Bush has pissed off the Arab world, a child can see it. I have noo idea what you are trying to say.
This is a false statement! 1) WMD's were found whether they are old or not. Matter of fact I challenge anyone in the world to let me drop some of this old WMD on you and lets see what happens? Any takers? 2) Yellow cake was found in Iraq http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0624-09.htm Greenpeace Says "Frightening" Radioactivity in Iraqi Villages http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2004-01-16-netherlands_x.htm IAEA confirms yellowcake found in Rotterdam likely from Iraq I don't know where this cake came from and I don't care but it was in Iraq!
Didn't we go to war with Iraq because their WMD's posed a threat to the United States? 500 chemical munitions would not have posed a threat to us. These areticles are from 03/04. We've been in Iraq a few years since then. Where are these sites producing nuclear weapons?
again, no, we did not go to war for that. that's what people invented in order to make a straw man argument against the war, once again, i refer you to the text of bush's speech to the UN justifying the war. there were numerous things that saddam was doing, basically ignoring all the reasons we didnt kill him in 1991. it is often smart to read firsthand what newsmakers say, rather than the ideas portrayed in the media. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/09/20020912-1.html
I don't think so. That isn't what the Gulf war cease fire was about in 1991 that he was in violation of. I don't care, it is a false statement that wmd's were imaginary. Nice try though.:yelwink2: And yet your side still makes false allegations for years that are quite the opposite? Why not be honest? I don't know where the sites are and I don't care! You are changing the subject here, traces of this stuff was found and you choose not to mention it or ignore it because it serves your purpose! I wish we wouldn't have gone into Iraq believe me but I wish your side would be more honest and forthcoming about evidence instead of picking and choosing what you actually want to believe. EDIT: Sadaam shot at our planes which was more than enough reason to go back to war. That was a threat to the USA.
We're still there because we eliminated their government, military, and police force. Regardless of whether we did it for the right or wrong reason, it is our responsibility to leave them with functioning government and security. Is that not obvious to the Democrats? The Shia-Sunni problem? History shows they must be controlled with force or be separated geographically. Those 1400 year old problems will not be solved by humans, attempting to do so is unrealistic. I can't argue with that but much progress has been made in the past year. How do you fix it? It's the fault of the U.S. Government. Dems voted for this war on the same intel that was given to Bush. Bush corrected the intel problem after the mistakes came to light. The bad intel came from the same people who were in place at the end of Clinton's eight years. It is our fight until we get the Iraqi's on their feet. Sure there are, how do you think the Dems retook Congress? The Arabs have been pissed at the U.S. since 1776. Something to do about our country being founded on Judeo-Christian values.... The insurgency has been falsely characterized as freedom fighters trying to remove the evil Americans from the homeland. I was explaining that the way to have the Americans leave is relatively simple.
