As long as the President is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, a guy like Obama will not win. People constantly worry about votes that don't matter (e.g young, poor, and/or black folks) because they DON'T VOTE. Remember, soldiers and patriotic folks DO vote. Obama can't win with this kind incendiary rhetoric.
I tend to agree, poor choice of words . . . rookie mistake. OK, which is it? Poor choice of words or disrespecting fighting men? I don't see saying "bravest young Americans" as being disrespectful to troops. He was being disrespectful to the administration who is responsible for this disasterous war. Your flag-waving smokescreen cannot hide this.
It is difficult to find any politician in America who is made of presidential timber. We are always left with a choice of candidates with flaws. It's a damn shame.
