Now if they draw a cartoon with Obama's ears (and DAMN!...he's got some big ass ears) you would probably get offended and maybe even suggest I'm a racist. Isn't that double standard? "gut Feeling" has nothing to do with it. The scientific evidence is immense comapred to evidence to the contrary. Of course we are. You are just dismayed that the scientific consensus doesn't agree with your predetermined ideas. Who has been silenced? There are a few scientific voice offering dissent and no one has silenced them, but their evidence is just a fart in an hurricane.
See red, there's no use in discussing this with you because you are the one who has predetermined ideas and are essentially calling opposing views silly. I'm not completely discounting everything that has been discussed, just saying that I believe they're overblown. Let's move forward on smart issues but continue to listen to opposing views. There is a tremendous amount of evidence that the climate changed many times before man's contributions and it's just hard to believe that we've destroyed the world in a few decades. If everything the global warming theorists believe is true, then they're doing a poor job convincing people. This is why I made the additional comment (which you chose not to reply) about political and Hollywood figures. I will attentively listen to a scientist. There's no way in hell I'm going to listen to Al Gore or anyone from Hollywood. Maybe we need to find a better group of spokespersons to discuss the issues. I have no faith, confidence, or trust in actors or Al Gore so I tend to believe there always full of crap. Once in a while they may be right or tell the truth but it's rare so they have no credibility. The other comment you didn't reply to also concerns me. If I tell you that smoking is horrible while I'm lighting a cigarette, you're probably not going to believe me. If I tell you alcohol is bad while I'm buying a case of beer, you're probably not going to believe me. When global warming alarmists tell us the world will bake in the next 20 years, while boarding their private jet to fly around the country selling books...I find their credibility to be lost. Some say that the doubters are making matters worse and slowing the greening process. I think the "public figures" are having a bigger impact than the opponents. If you want to sell a product, find a good spokesman. Al Gore is not the guy.
