I didnt vote for him but I desperately want his Presidency to succeed. I get the impression he is REALLY trying to make a difference but I also see an inexperienced person being handled by his handlers who are mostly all old time Washington cronies. The President is relatively new in Washington and is being pushed around a little by the old guard. He seems more and more like their mouth piece instead of a breath of fresh air. I would like to see him get back to what he preached during the campaign and quit letting the old guard shape his Presidency. He's backed off many campaign promises and more seem on the way which is probably whats prompting people like Lou Dobbs to compare him with Bush. He's in a tough situation because he needs these cronies but the quicker he starts blazing his own trail the better.

They would've been stupid to do so when you consider the consensus at the time.

When is Katie Couric going to grill Obama like she did Palin? Had McCain won the election, we'd still be in bad shape right now but we'd at least have a hot VP to look at! :thumb: Where's Biden? as resentful as republicans are about O, none of them think that he'd have any problems naming a few newspapers he reads---do they? i dont remember, but if he did you'd call in the marker after 2 months?
