If Hillary loses the black vote and college base young vote, she can hang it up. Believe when I say alot of black and young voters will stay at home. Vice versa, If Obama loses alot of the blue-collar and women voters, which alot will probably stay at home or some will vote for McCain, he can hang it up.
I think the Democratic nomination process has gotten so polarizing that I'm not sure that passionate Obama supporters will vote for Clinton over McCain and vice versa. We may very well be seeing some Democrats vote for McCain, almost out of spite for the other candidate. I could be wrong about that, but I've been hearing that sort of rhetoric from both sides concerning the two Democratic front-runners. As for who would actually be easier for McCain to beat, my vote goes with Hillary. She is simply too unlikeable and doesn't appeal to a wide enough base. Where Obama is inexperienced, Hillary has almost too much of a negative history in Washington, at least in the public eye. She was not necessarily a popular first lady, for instance. I've always thought many felt sort of threatened by a first lady who wanted a hand in public policy. That will still work against her. Obama can appeal to a wider base of centrist Republicans, who would never dream of voting for Hillary. That could spell trouble for McCain. Now, the question is, will the media continue to shred Obama in the news? Will still more be made of his reverend, his wife's comments (whether taken in or out of context), etc. Remember that Theresa Heinz Kerry was a target during the '04 election, and she didn't help her already unlikeable spouse. Obama, however, is likeable. He's attractive and a smooth talker. He WILL attract the vote of many younger people, who feel that McCain is a dinosaur. This is setting up to be a very interesting election.
Alright Mr. Alabama fan. I think she is more fun to talk about. Kind of Similar to Oregeron and his coaching.
That rhetoric is always there Red, it's flowing just as strong against obama. unfortunately I got it, not at all amused, I think I made it 15 seconds if that.
Hillery does not have the black vote. When there is a black candidate running against a white candidate - Demorcrat or Republican - 90% of the blacks will vote for the black candidate. In the recent Pennsylvania election Obama go 90% of the black vote. When a black Democrate is pitted against a Republican, the black Democrat can count of getting 90 to 95 percent of the black vote.
Agree, though I'm not sure the GOP knew they wanted Obama until he started underperforming recently. As for being worried about Hillary, I'd say the GOP is likely more worried about the economy if Hillary is the candidate.
They definately vote Democrat. But if there is a black demo running against the white demo, 90% will vote for the black candidate. You can take that to the bank.
