It's OK, Red. I know you're just trying to protect Obama.

Sounds just like an Obama speech to me. Nothing but vague, empty, meaningless political buzzwords. You don't need evidence of meaning, you just need a brain to be able to see through it. If he got any more generic he could be talking about Monday Night Football or corn or batteries or anything and no one would ever know if you took it out of context.

Oh the buzzword of the present, stimulus.

Is it really a stimulus if you borrowed or printed the money?

I know I wasn't alive then, but I'm pretty sure people thought we were staring peak oil in the face during the 70's also. There is no physical proof that we are facing peak oil because the "proven" reserves are just estimates themselves, nobody really knows how much oil is them. But that's a different discussion.

    That was peak Louisiana production.

    You are quite wrong.

That is not what "proven reserves" are.

    So start a thread.

The entire quote is constructed with generic political buzzwords. I'm not sure how much more concise I can be in explaining that.

i have always liked that red is desperately worried about peak oil as well as climate change, but unwilling to acknowledge that one solves the other. liberals need as many doomsday scenarios as possible in order to justify controlling others.
