If you sell a piece of property and make a tidy profit, are you under any obligation to make less because you didn't "earn" the money? So they should give it to you? Get real, dude. In the final analysis, in terms of real dollars, it doesn't matter except to class warriors like yourself. I can virtually guarantee you that while the rates might not be the same, in terms of real dollars Warren Buffett pays 5x more in taxes alone than his secretary grosses in a year. And that's probably a conservative estimate. "But he also makes more", you whine. So what? That's life. There will always be people who make more than others. And they'll always pay more in taxes than the people who make less. Stop trying to get them to pay even more.
