no, my point was it was while he was pres. they all are human and make mistakes. i didnt bash bush for these things and i wont bash obama. to me there are bigger problems to worry about. this kind of stuff from any pres just isnt gonna get my panties wadded.
fair point. I can agree with that. I still have a big issue with our protocol officers seemingly falling asleep on the job. It just seems that our collective attention has fallen by the waist side.
lol, sf. no, thats not wadded either. and krypto, i agree. its the job of the protocol people to make sure all the little things are taken care of and elected officials informed about the etiquette of each culture.
You yourself may not have bashed Bush, but Bush became a running caricature for these types of miscues. Mistakes such as this bow were commonly used to deride the man and establish that he was inept for the job at even the most base level. The what happen to the teleprompter, how do you like my new ride, and jr. high reaction to a sovereign equally say empty suit caught up in the trappings to me. The man lacks perspective, and you can't lead without it. You can be easily led without perspective, but not lead.
He lacks perspective and cant lead because he bowed to the Saudi King. Wow, you talking about a stretch. Thats real perspective right there.
I thought he lacked perspective and wasn't a leader before the bow. I was referring to Okie's statement about not bashing Obama for bowing. Right now he seems a bit infatuated with himself and his title. This has little to do with politics, just that my impression of the man. I hope he grows into the job, he is the elected president.
