It went well for both of them "my friend" as McCain would say. Seriously, they both did well, both incredibly smart people. I cant say that either of them actually won. But Clinton, did really well imo. She didnt really make him look bad or score any huge points. But it was civil for the most part and they both had some really great moments in the debate.
I'd say it was close, maybe a tie - could be a slight edge to Clinton for her closing comments (even though some are saying she possibly plagiarized John Edwards and/or her husband). But because it was so close, it effecticely means, in my opinion, that Obama is the winner, because she really needed to do something major to stop his momentum, and that didn't happen.
Not at all, he looked and acted really presidential last night, you could tell he really prepared for the debate. His answers where really clear. In other debates, alot of his answers werent all that clear. He cleaned up his act last night alot.
They didn't really appear to break away from each other in any susbstantive way, which is a win for Obama in my opinion. And I think he succeeded in making the Clinton campaign look just a tad silly for the "plaigerism" (sp?) accusation. She tried to back it up, but she looked a tad weak. If he can avoid negatives, his positives are stronger than hers. So he wins. Plus there's the whole media momentum. Not enough time for them to turn on Obama, which is what they always do (turn on the leader) if there's time enough to do it. But I don't think they'll have time to do any serious damage. This is McCain's problem, though. Now that he's pulled away, he'll get all of the media's attention, and we'll see more peeling back of the onion, even if it's old news. They'll make a point of disecting him now that he's the man. It's how the game is played.
