Forget all of that. THIS is the biggest problem and Obama is doing nothing to fix it. In fact he is making it worse.

Federal Budget Spending and the National Debt

    Quote:
After a series of complex parliamentary maneuvers, the House
approved a massive health care reform package on March 21, 2010, with
over $400 billion in revenue raisers and new taxes on employers and individuals.

    My comments:
This doesn't even include what we will have to pay for the Stimulus Spending.
People better wake up if its not too late already!
Our standard of living along with our children and grandchildren is going right down the toilet.
There aint one person here who can argue with that either.

Edit: Bush tax cuts are ending, add in tax from stimulus and health care.
Add in the failure of insurance and medical systems.
I think we are headed into a great depression!
Obama will blame it on capitalism and try and usher in socialism, just maybe.

Let me get this right, . . . you make a remark that Obama has spent more than any other President, and when I point out another President's spending that suggests that its wrong, then I'm not being fair to you?

You want me to argue both side of the argument? Are you serious?

Look I don't even try to respond to your outrages about things that upset you. Everything upsets you, podnuh.

But I will shoot down outright fabrications. Nothing personal, I do it to everyone.

Karl is a clever propgandist, ain't he? He conveniently omits Bush spending that is still going on and adds it all to Obama's column just for a nice touch. Bush's own Trillion dollar-over-ten-years health plan adds as much as Obama's Trillion dollar health plan to these projected future deficit numbers. "No Child", his other huge unfunded mandate is a huge part of it, too. Obama's stimulus at least worked and is limited. "No child" has not worked and goes on forever. Then add in the Iraq War wasted cumulative $Trillion . . .

Why doesn't Obama just wave his magic wand (Executive Order) and fix it?

Completely agree. The stimulus bill should have been mostly construction and infrastructure projects. Put the money in to real things and then let it flow. Everything will benefit from it. Putting it into banks does nothing for the people at lower levels of the economic structure.
