I disagree just stating a fact besides with Obama anyone that isn't him or supports him are the villains. I am a villain. Not that any of this matters anymore, if someone doesn't stop this debacle the country is forever changed and not for the good.
Insurance, like any other industry can be predatory at times, and govt is a useful tool towards regulating against abuse. However, most people assume that you have extremes of good/evil, with big daddy govt wearing a "S" on it's chest. When people start claiming they just want to "help" you, it's a good idea to question their motives. Not really a lot of altruism in congress guys. The reality is we (consumers) are now caught between two predators, but industry can be forced to let us go. Once govt sinks it's teeth in, it don't let go.
which is the lesser of 2 evils, government or insurance companies. I find it kind of hypocritical that the republican stance is government is bad, well if it is so bad why are there republicans? You mean to tell me its only bad when they don't control it, that sounds more logical. Insurance companies are evil, and i didn't need Obama or any politician to figure that one out.
It has nothing to do with republicans or democrats. Bigger govt means less rights for you as a citizen. It really isn't rocket science.
exactly. an insurance company can be as evil as it wants, and it doesnt matter for ****, because you can simply not buy from them. when the government is involved.....and wait a moment, prepare for this next sentence, because it is important... when the government is managing things, you lose the one thing that protects you. choice.
I read of more medicare cuts while some states are getting additional funding. So if you are not in the correct voting state your access to healthcare will be diminished? Isn't that kinda like not providing care because of a pre-existing condition? The gerrymandering of healthcare dollars tells me all I need to know to determine this is more of a power grab than about healthcare.
Re: Links to Full Text of Health Care Bills I'm a registered democrat, and I respect the rule of law that a woman can get an abortion, even though I disagree with it. But why should I have to pay for it? And why did Obama and the democrats repeatedly claim that I would not, if it was such a smashing good idea? I pointed out that it was claimed the bill would not contain these legal bypasses. Another lie. You can't answer to that, so you just make a snide remark. A day or two ago, I actually saw one of your posts admitting this bill was bad. Now you are reduced to making snipes about republicans and democrats without being able to postulate a single positive out of this bill. And it could not be more irrelevant. Pathetic. :insane:
how many are qualified to give a valuable answer? if this is just to get the public's opinion then ask if they want reform, not something that requires expertise. this means nothing would happen. other polls show this isnt want the public wants. not surprising. they are tired of hearing about it. half are scared about red herring death panels and abortion funding. and the economy sux. the dems are taking one for the team (in their eyes) how many of them can find dc on a map? now ask them how he should have shown bipartisanship. so the general public are now political scientists? wouldnt it have been better to ask if this will affect your vote? im not convinced it will be a negative in the midterms. that boat has already sailed. the dems are in power, there is a dem prez, there is a "recession", incumbents (and especially dems) will get hammered regardless. sure, they will lose some they would have gotten, but theyll gain some too. it will help O in '12. he will get soundly beaten in '12 if the dems keep both houses. once the gop gets one or both houses they will not be able to dam the river anymore. barry needs a newt like bubba had to get reelected.
