It's the regulations that we have now and govt. involvement now that is breaking everything. Don't add more! Currently we have too many, we are at the extreme.
I won't respond to your insurance industry comment except to say that your (lack of) knowlege of the system is laughable. When did I ever support the bank bailouts? You are delusional.
That's not what you say! I never hear you saying that we need to find the right taxation point. You only say cut taxes. You never say that we need to find the right regulation point, you say eliminate government regulation. Neither do you say that the democrats are trying to achieve balance either. You say that they are all communist socialists trying to tax the country into oblivion. You are NOT a moderate and you are not a pragmatist, you are an ideologue. You do not seek balance at all, you seek minimum government. I do not seek maximun government, I seek optimum government. Balance.
i never say just eliminate all taxes and regulations. you simply are not listening. i favor all sorts of government programs. i even favor a massive tax that would fund a high speed rail. again, my balance point is simply different than yours. i have explained this to you a thousand times. we both want balance. we all do. we just disagree about what is balanced. thats why it is a waste of time for you to just say "i want balance!" all the time. we know you do. so does everyone. i think their balance is too heavy on government. i like an optimal balance, which is a smaller more efficient government. again, i think modertae is a relative term, mostly meaningless. it doesnt indicate principles, only a position relative to the current extremes. we both want optimal balance. everyone does.
What foolishness! This forum is filled with extremists who are not interested the slightest in balance, pragmatism, or political compromise. While not the most extreme, you are among the least pragmatic or compromising. This is the martonian notion of moderate. Only extreme positions are valid and any other philosophy besides black or white is phony. True "principles" are only possessed by the most narrow-minded extremist ideologues, never among pragmatic, broad minded moderates. Yes, we know your quaint notions and they are found to be without merit. You are just using Redspeak to appear wise and practical on the topic of balance. But your record on everyday political discussion around here reveals a notable lack of balance.
