It isn't about winning. If I ever become that bitter I'll blow my brains out before I come here and insult everybody for no reason. He bitches about not enough posts and then disrespects the very people who post the most. I sincerely tried to reach out to him during his first episode and this is the gratitude he shows. He can jump off a goddam mountain for all I care.
OK several things: Politics has become so divisive. Even with its separate forum, I see a title and can't help myself to see what some dumbass has posted. Then I get pissed. Same with climate change. There are others, too. I was able to just give up on the climate change stuff, have been much less successful dealing with the Pols from all parties! It appears to me, when with the current political climate there is an overall rise in racially insensitive posts. I am certainly not an angel, but it is not too difficult to see how one would tire pretty quickly and then leave after digesting some of the comments I have seen during the Obama-Trump era. It's off season (not football) and is always slow. Les and his gang of nincompoops are gone. That is a lot of posts/interest down the drain. I also think there is very consistent agreement on the quality/performance of players. Like Miles, there have been times in the last 1/2 dozen years when there were widely varying opinions about various players. Now everybody loved Fornette and Guice, everyone did not like the guy that went to Carolina, and everyone was pretty lukewarm about hatever his name is, Danny ? Concurrence leads to poor dialog. I think the loss of Red and to about the same degree Martin, have made a real difference. They generated a lot of discussion. But, football is coming down the pike!
