I most certainly do. Nice to find others that do. What are you thinking of Shinuske Nakamura in the E?
i can't wait for Nakamura/Styles... Again. That Wrestle Kingdom 10 match was great. And I think if they build that up to a WrestleMania match, it'll be gold.
AJ and Shinuske are easily my 2 favorite wrestlers right now. I've never seen anyone like Shinuske, he's like a Japanese Michael Jackson that could beat the shit out of you. AJ I've been watching since TNA and some older ROH stuff, Shinuske I've only been watching him for about 4 years in NJPW.
Are they good guys or heels? I haven't kept up with wrestling since the Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage era but I used to always root for the bad guys. Do they still have the great story lines and cast of characters?
I started watching NJPW about the same time back. Okada is easily my favorite there. I didn't watch NXT for a long time and the delay that NJPW has had me confused as to why this Finn Balor character looked so much like Prince Devitt. I wasn't a huge fan of TNA, but the stinger was there, so I gave it some time. Found out that Bobby Roode is easily one of the best all around workers. So it's cool seeing him as champ in NXT
Every once in a while a decent story line will pop up. But there's no more slow build like with the Mega Powers and the mega powers exploding. You have your heels and faces, but they're trying to keep that smug, cool heel shit going instead of just a good guy vs bad guy like it was back in the day. NXT does a good job because HHH is such a fan of old school NWA territories, so they tell some cool stories. Plus, the tag team scene (which got me hooked on wrestling as a kid) is pretty legit there. They're trying hard to save the tag team division in WWE, but it's still a work in progress.
My Dad was the last person you would have ever thought would watch professional wrestling but he got me hooked on watching Mid South when Jim Cornette was managing the Midnight Express and their big feud was with good guys the Rock 'N Roll Express. Cornette carried a weighted tennis racket he would use to hit his guys opponents whenever the ref wasn't looking. Cornette played the role of a yuppie mama's boy and would rant that he was going to get money from his mom to bring in more bad guys to beat up the opponents
