But you have to look at what those teams bring back. Miami is losing most of their Dline. They simply will not be as good if you use the same critical thought as you are using with LSU. The only team that will have more talent than us is BAMA and UGA, but UGA is losing a lot on D. A whole lot. Quite honestly, LSU should win 10 games next year based on talent and paper. We should have won 11 this year. So maybe O can figure it out (we will see) or maybe he can’t. Our D is going to be nasty next year.
LSU was at a tipping point this year. We were so close to having a really good year. The youth and no depth did us in early VS MSU and Troy. We got manhandled on the lines. Oh, and our FG kickers sucked. But we outgained Bama and ND and had almost 15 more minutes of TOP VS ND and 10 more VS Bama. We simply lacked the skill and creativity in the Redzone. The Tone would be so mugh different if we simply made a few more FGs. It is what it is, but I think if we simply correct those easy issues, we are on a much better path.
How many freshman really got a ton of snaps. We need a breakdown minus special teams. I'm fairly certain its not as many as some think. Once again more players defecting lsu than any other college.
Curious if Eaux has success if this will change - wonder if this is Miles hold-outs and if Eaux changes the culture (if only a bit, since this is still happening across CFB at higher rates).
Good question. I know we did on the Oline and Dline - LB - CB. I am sure it will be broken down to a few select freshman at each position.
Charles and Ingram on the O line, Logan on D Line, Alexander on D Line, Helaire some snaps and kick returns, Greedy at cb and Taylor at LB. that’s all I can think of off the top of my head other than Brennan.
Baby Huey has the job until TAF believes repeated losses to Bama coupled with 9-3 seasons are costing the program money. It ain't rocket geometry.
