Doubt they come after Chief as HC. Tying to another thread...don't be surprised if Dan Mullen goes after the UT job. No birdie whispering in my ear. Just StarkVegas has no upside and if he wants to parlay his success there he needs to move soon.

Yes, Mullen's star will only fall the longer he stays in Starkville. There's are ceiling there, and he's reached it. I was even reading over on their boards last night, and many posters were saying, "Oh, well, we've lost three in row, but I'm fine as long as we win 6, 7, or maybe 8 games a year." Tiger boards would be in thermonuclear meltdown mode if that was our situation.
I have to believe that Chris Peterson's name will surface at one of the better jobs in the SEC. IMO, if the Pac 12/Big 12 ever take Boise, Chris Peterson is IN his last job, much the same with G Patterson. They are both VERY LOYAL to the schools that gave them a "chance" and once they are "playing" on the same field as everyone else then they will be very content to stay. I don't think Boise in the Big East means "job security" for CP. I think more than a few schools over estimate just how "attractive" the football coaching job is.
