I want ND to fire Weis and hire Saban, offering him $10 million a year.

ND didn't want to hire Weis, they wanted Urban Meyer. They fired Ty thinking they had Urban wrapped up. When Urban went to Florida, ND got caught with their pants down and had to scramble to find another coach. They got stuck with Weis, a guy with no college football coaching experience and no head coaching experience. ND is not the place for somebody to learn how to be a head coach.

It would be nice to see ND become a great team again so that Southern Cal has some actual competition on their annual schedule.

Notre Dame kicker Brandon Walker reacts after his 53-yard field goal attempt fell short in the closing seconds of their 24-23 loss to Syracuse in an NCAA football game Saturday Nov. 22, 2008 in South Bend, Ind.

With the victory at Notre Dame Stadium, Syracuse improves to 3-8.

This is the first time Notre Dame has lost to an 8 loss team.

I just thought that should be stated.

And this is the first time in school history that Michigan has had eight losses (they have nine now). It is also Michigan's first losing season in 41 years and the first time in 34 years that Michigan will not be going to a bowl game. In other words, this is the first time this generation that Michigan will not finish with a winning season and will not go to a bowl game.

Insane how the two programs with the best win percentages in NCAA football history are doing so horrible this year.

    Weis at ND:

2008 -- 6-4 (wins over teams with winning records: 6-4 Navy)

2007 -- 3-9 (wins over teams with winning records: NONE)

2006 -- 10-3 (wins over teams with winning records: 9-5 Georgia Tech, 9-4 Penn St, 8-6 Purdue, 7-6 UCLA, 9-4 Navy)

2005 -- 9-3 (wins over teams with winning records: 7-5 Michigan, 8-4 Navy)

ND is paying Weis $4.2 million a year. Only Pete Carroll and Bob Stoops have higher salaries.

    Great info here.

There is not ONE signature win under Weis at Notre Dame.

    NOT ONE.

Pete Carroll and Bob Stoops make that much money?

Where is Saban in that list?

And just like fans say Miles won with Saban players Weis best seasons came with Ty's players. Thats a big drop off from 10-3 to 3-9 a complete reverse.
