Gotcha, well I know Flynn didn't throw any, and I thought he was in for two series.

I got this from the board for the reason that it was closed.

    ________________________________________________

With the game ending so late it was easier to close the board than to clean it up this morning.

There was everything from F-bombs, to attacks on the players/coaches character. The same players and coaches that spent hours cleaning up in New Orleans, and donating time/band equipment to local Hgh Schools.

Tell them to play a little defense and the score would not have gotten run up.

I agree with the supposition that playing in a lesser bowl will provide welcome opportunity for an Irish victory and an end to a long terrible bowl streak. The kinds of teams that get into those dregs bowl games are pretty marginal at best. Having a summer to savor a victory against crappy team in a sub-meaningless bowl beats the crap out of any loss.

It's worked for us in troubled times. I remember one time, in the late 90's, I was all bummed out because LSU had to play in the freakin' loser-ass Independence Bowl. At least we won.

In '95 we beat Michigan St 45-26 and I was glad to be in a bowl since it had been 6 yrs. You must be talking about the '97 season when we beat..........Yes, Notre Dame 27-9.

They knew they were in trouble from the moment the teams were announced during the selection show.

But don't worry Irish fans, you'll break the 9-game bowl losing streak next year.....when you play in the Independance Bowl vs perhaps Kentucky or the Music City Bowl vs a MAC team. :hihi:

I have figured it out.........................................................................................................................................THERE ARE NO REAL IRISH FANS!!!

They are either Catholic and feel if they dont cheer for ND they will burn in Hell.

OR They are Irish and simple closet Irish fans with REAL SCHOOLS TO PULL FOR (this is me)

But as far as Real Diehard Fans their about as real as that pot of gold.

I was sitting about 5 sections over and we could hear the crowd chanting Tiger Bait when they were leaving their seats. Me and my wife assumed she had to have been obnoxious the whole game or two entire sections wouldn't have been giving her hell like that. It was pretty funny.
