First off, you are a pretentious, arrogant, obnoxious little creep.
Secondly, show me in the rules where it says that only one thread per subject is allowed.
Finally, show me one game related thread that I started and I'll send you a check for $1000.00.

    PS F*** You

Two points: this thread was hijacked by someone proclaiming to wish the threads wouldn't be repeated, and instead of a good discussion of the game, there was much complaining. Think about it...

The next point: About Lane--we couldn't put ourselves in the same position we did ten years ago with Booty. And yes, he's performing better than Russell (who was awful passing the ball last night--even worse than before in many cases). As for playing against the Tigers when you grew up loving them. My dad had a similar decision to make when he graduated from high school in 1960. Ole Miss offered him a double scholarship for football and baseball. LSU felt he was same for an OL (and he was). But he said he couldn't conceive of playing against the Tigers--especially for their most hated rival. He went to Southern Miss instead. Lane's allegiance wasn't that strong, was it?

I don't think he will ever improve you.

Lane might not have done that much passing, but he made plays with his legs and was definitely the best qb on the field last night. You have to look at it this way, he played against a much better defense than Russell faced last night. He's a different type of qb than Russell, so don't just base performance on passing stats.

Those of you who watched the Tigervision broadcast: What did you think of the broadcasting crew? I thought that was the absolute worst commentating by a pair of broadcasters that I've ever heard in my life! Sorry, I realize Greg Bowser donned the purple and gold, but he is HORRIBLE! He must have made at least 50 factually inaccurate statements during the course of the game. He played the game, yet he doesn't seem to know the first thing about it! For example, on the offsetting penalties that negated Green's big punt return, he babbled repeatedly about how Saban declined the penalty! He also had no clue that a personal foul carries with it an automatic first down! And how many times did he get the down and distance and/or ball position wrong?!

And what was with his constant support of Ole Miss? He seemed to believe that Ole Miss could and would come back to tie or win at the end! And, he seemed to be rooting for it! This was an LSU broadcast, and he should have been a 100% homer! Absent that, he should, at least, have a clue about the game! I just can't believe they can't find someone better than him do to the color commentary. How much is he paying LSU to let him do it? My 11 year old daughter could do better.

He was the losing qb because his offensive and defensive teammates are on par with those at Vandy and Kentucky. Russell was the winning qb because he's got two great rb's behind him and one hell of a defense to cover for his mistakes. Once again LSU wins in spite of him.

Which is another way of saying LSU's team is better.
Does Jason Campbell not have 2 great RBs and one hell of a defense?
Would you rather have Leinart, White, Cal's QB and no running backs and a bad defense? Must we excel at every single position in order to maintain your respect? Is winning not enough, that you have to bash the young man who is playing in his first season?
There's going to be plenty of crow being dished out once Russell's perfomance meets up with his talent...and it will.

    X. Carter (Fla) Big Herman (Texas-although born in La.) Pull out your program. If they aren't from La. they must be TRAITORS. Ever hear any talk about LSU not HOLDING a scholly UNTIL he found out whether or not he would play pro baseball? If the money had been right, he would not even be IN college. Let's kick all those traitors on the LSU team off. Then we can talk about their parents too.
