1. I don't think it's so much the late hits that get to me. It's the 'incomplete' or 'no-way' signal everyone gives after a play. Even Alley Broussard did it after his TD in the third quarter.

But late hits do bother me. That's another thing Saban would do. He'd jump all over those guys for acting stupid. Miles just doesn't do that. Glen Davis slapped a guy in the facemask last night that could have drawn a flag, but nothing was thrown. The refs did get in his face, but it should be the coach doing that.
  2. 1. find me a football team that doesn't do this
    2. the fact that you just said Glen Davis plays football proves you don't know too much about the team! :)
  3. Glen Dorsey.. whoops :yelwink2:

And all I'm saying is that it gets old. It's uneccessary.
  4. Well since you asked I did not see LSU do it under Saban..

I don't mind and actually enjoy a little show boating. But the other side of it is you don't need to do this just because you made the tackle.

Like if AB was saying to the team something about this is the back you will be seeing from now on. That's cool. But if anybody was trying to send a message to FS about not in our house or something like that. ITS FRESNO STATE.
  5. If it doesn't draw a flag, it's not a late hit - Period
  6. You are off your nut, dude...

Spears would constantly be waving his arms around doing the incomplete pass signal after passes and muschamp would celebrate with the kids...

when we get flagged for excess, then you talk to me
  7. I like the way Laron Landry plays, usually smart and very intense, and hits like a battling ram. He deserves all the recognition he is getting. I don't ,however, quite like the hits which he laid on the receiver when the receiver jumped and not being able to catch the high /overthrown pass, similar to what Lafell got when he couldn't get the pass that came his way in the Florida game. Someone can really get hurt. I wonder if he couldn't do much to change his approach once he is committed to tackle the receiver hard when the ball is heading straight to the receiver? The trash talking, if any (since I can't hear what he said from the broadcast), to me is all part of intimidation and working on the opponent's psyche. Regardless, he is still one of my all time favorite and respected players.

  8. So if a man shoots someone but there's no arrest made..........
  9. My son and I watched that play over and over last night. The slow motion replay makes it look like a somewhat dirty shot but if you watch it at full speed it looked like he was committed to the hit before the ball deflected off the recievers hands. I think it was a clean hit.
There was a hit on the sidelines that was questionable but different camera angles really give a better perspective. Clean hit.
I love the guy. He makes it a point to look into the guys eyes after he nails him. Like he wants them to know where it came from. He gets into their heads and you can't tell me that it doesnt affect their performance.
    Rep for Laron.

  10. what if it gets a flag and they pick it up... is it a pass interference?

just cuz the refs miss it, it doesnt mean it isn't wrong...?
