  4. Figured this was as good a place as any.....

    Mt Everest issued over 300 climbing permits this season at $11k/per. The large number of climbers combined with just 5 days of weather decent enough to summit, has resulted in a record 11 deaths so far. Climbers have been waiting in line for hours and some having to step over dead bodies. Nuts.

    The amount of trash left behind is unreal. They started requiring hikers to return with 18 lbs of trash. Just strange that people so obsessed with nature are so careless with it.
