I remember being in the Georgia Dome in 2003 for the SEC championship, and when it was announced that Oklahoma lost to Kansas State (thereby helping both LSU and UGA's standings), the whole crowd, LSU and Georgia fans, started chanting "SEC! SEC!" It was a very cool moment.

Ya know, I know you're not bashing him and I know it's more noticeable when he had the year he did in '08, but nobody seems to remember this guy.. Like they say, a few "Oh sh!t!"'s will erase a million "atta boy!"'s....

EVERYBODY...including me...remembers that guy. Problem is, every single highlight in that clip are from a spring game. A scrimmage. Obviously, he has to capacity to throw the ball, but I've seen him throw that same little screen to a couple of LBs...and I just cannot HELP but remember.

Exactly. No one should question/poke fun of the SEC for conference play. Least of all someone from the ACC.

But in terms of our matchup against UNC, I think it'll be a very evenly matched game.

They have questions at QB that need answering. We have them along the O-line (as we underachieved as a group in that area all last season).

The Heels have some top talent on defense though. I see it being a low-scoring contest. Possibly a 17-13 affair if the defenses are truely ahead of each others offense.

If last year's game vs an unranked Washington team didn't worry you, this matchup of top 20 teams to kickoff the season should.

Hell, a couple of years ago we darn near ended their championship basketball season. With a rookie coach.

But I ain't gonna make fun of their unis...the new helmets I saw the other day are tight. Besides, your first post mentioned something about rooting for OM in the Cotton. That, IMO, is a bannable offense. :eek:lefire:

Oh I'm not disputing that, I'm just saying that because of that int in the spring, everyone is quick to point out how bad his performance was but if you look past that you'll see that he took command of the offense pretty well otherwise. Not to mention that Loston stepped up and made a pretty good play on a ball that was in both of Randle's hands before he got it.

Don't get me wrong though, I don't want him starting. This is Jefferson's offense and Jefferson's year. I'd like to see JJ show everyone what he is capable of and delete the question mark @ QB thing... won't be long now. :geauxtige

I guess I'm just one of those weirdos that doesn't believe there is any question mark at QB.

Fans are funny and fickle, and the 2nd string QB is always the most popular person on the team. I'm not in that crowd. I remember it from when I was a student in the late 80s. Hell, we had Tommy friggin' Hodson, and people around me were calling for Guidry...or whoever his backup was.:insane:

Although I was calling for Lee to be yanked, I even defended him until I couldn't anymore. A lot of fans were calling for his head a few minutes into the AU game.
