I don't think so. Kiffin was a risk anyway. If Orgeron can haul in either Canada, Gilbert, or even Lincoln Riley I would call it a very large net gain offensively speaking. That'll be looking good. Miles and Cameron are gone. That's looking real good.

I can't stand Kiffin--never could--but it seemed like a good bit of our head-scratching hiring of Orgeron was predicated on his bringing in Kiffin, as well. Wasn't that part of the master plan in the binder during the interview that blew that moron Alleva away?

Why don't we just throw all caution to the wind and hire Art Briles? No one else wants him...but he does know how to call an offense.

Of course, but that was before he realized how much of an egomaniac Kiffen was. Fla. Titanic? (Sorry @bhelmLSU that is too good to not use)

Funny in a Greek comedy sort of way how it all comes apart before it was ever even together

What is head scratching about the Orgeron hire? Again, who would you have hired?

Taint, your up. Get your helmet on baw

Why we jumped so soon. The Rams just fired a coach, you never know how that wheel will spin and what comes open or whom. We could have done better.

What's falling apart chicken little? Still have a top 10 class that will probably include a quality QB. Still have Aranda to run a pretty good defense. Still likely to get a quality OC that will be a huge upgrade over Cam/Miles and the team appears to show up ready to play for Ed. Im much more confident about next season than I was this season with Fudd running the show.

First of all, I would've gone further into negotiations with Herman. Make him say no, not say no to him. Secondly, I don't really think I'd have hired our former defensive line coach, who won 5 games in his previous SEC coaching job.

But I just feel like there should have been a longer list of candidates, which there just wasn't. Realistically, there aren't that many exciting guys out there right now, but this whole Orgeron deal feels like Archer or Hallman or DiNardo all over again--and that straight up sucked.

It was time to move on from Miles, but I'm not sure, yet, that we actually upgraded. This whole thing feels off.
