I agree completely. I think the Saban/Kiffin combo has run it's course in every way.

I just think Kiffin to USF is a step backwards for him. Too much to lose if he doesn't do well there immediately. I have a feeling he's going nowhere.

I was just replying to his comment about staying at Bama. I haven't heard anything about that being a possibility but wouldn't be surprised either if Sexton threw that into the hat to keep this gravy train going because all the jobs they can use as leverage are getting eaten up.

"Houston athletic director Hunter Yurachek on the hiring of Major Applewhite as coach: "We wanted a coach with great integrity who believed in our mission and truly believed in our student-athlete experience. "

"Friday night's revelation by the University of Texas of assistant football coach Major Applewhite's affair with a student is directly related to the forced resignation last month of women's track and field coach Bev Kearney......According to a statement released Friday by Texas, Applewhite engaged in "inappropriate, consensual behavior with an adult student" during the Longhorns' trip to the Fiesta Bowl after the 2008 regular season. "

So Houston focuses on integrity and the student-athlete experience but hires Applewhite. Lol. Kiffin must feel like dung.

What you just described would be a home run hire to me.

FWIW, Herbstreit just said there's no way Kiffen will be our OC next year. I don't know what we did to piss him off, but he's definitely got a hard on for LSU.

This is the same guy that announced Miles to Michigan as a done deal not too long ago. Herbie doesn't know sheet, he's just throwing things at the wall and hoping something sticks.
