The big 12 is finished. Dead conference walking. Houston does nothing for them because they already have that market. That is the least of my worries

I would've interviewed Fleck and probably Holgerson.

"We're inheriting recruiting tactics" meaning O encourages these shenanigans and showmanship?

I don't think it has anything to do with the hat dance bullshit, no one endorses that. I think he means an all out assault on recruiting in the O style. He is umm, what's a good word, crafty. Yeah that one.

Read a report the other day from a Houston reporter that Applewhite was hoping Herman would get the LSU job and take him as OC, doesn't hurt to talk to him.

He also recruits well when surrounded by talent. Houston is a great fitfor Miles. Theyjust need to insist ona good OC and a hands off the offense policy .

Miles could run the exact same style of program at Houston that he ran at LSU and do very well. With his attention to defense, he could run a power running scheme and vie for a conference title most seasons.

Actually, I said recruiting might improve. More wishful thinking than anything. We were bound to lose out on some players due to the uncertainty regardless of who ended up as HC. It really comes down to who we get as OC. It needs to be a home run hire because O was not a home run hire. No doubt he can be successful but I am cautiously optimistic. If he can maintain the recruiting or better it. He should do well.

Also, if you expect him to add new recruits out of the blue that weren't already being recruited then there is no way he will be good if that is your criteria for success. Losing the guys to Bama hurts but it wasn't any different under Miles as Saban would occasionally poach a 5 star here and there.
