We likely wouldn't target him and Applewhite would eat a ton of shit if he ever agreed to come here. He has never been a fan of LSU since HS recruiting days.
Been hearing that Houston wants to put a $10M buyout and want to lock in a coach that will be there a long time. I can't see Kiffin agreeing to anything close to that. It isn't about the interest because I think there is some there but more about Sexton doing his job and Kiffin appeasing all sides so he can coach in the playoffs. Sexton/Saban were also floating the USF rumors out there as well. Same game, different clients, just let it play out. One thing is for sure...LSU is getting plenty of details about all of what is going on and it isn't Sexton who is passing that info to us. We also know nothing is guaranteed and likely won't be for some time.
I have been hearing that as well but it is obvious Houston is still trying to figure this thing out. Les would be perfect for a potential long-term candidate.
I could see Miles settling in at Houston. Might hurt recruiting a bit, but we should be ok as long as we take care of our business.
I don't like the long time part. In the meantime our recruiting suffers. At least we got the dead period.
