I'm not so sure that the crowd is going to be Tiger Stadium-esk. We only have 2,000 student tickets alotted and that is usually the most rowdy of the stadium. I think we will be loud, it may be close to Tiger Stadium's noise level because it's in a dome instead of an open air stadium. I think it will be enough to fuel any kind of momentum the Tigers create, but I don't think it will be enough to mess up Oklahoma on offense. Just don't think we'll have enough people get tickets.

If we have anywhere near the percentage that Georgia brought to the Georgia dome for the SEC Championship game, then Oklahoma will be in trouble.

For SoonerBird and the other Sooner posters here, Like someone on your board wrote about us, "You have no idea of what you're getting yourself into."
This is not an attempt to put OU or the Big Xii down, but I promise you, you have NEVER experienced anything like what you are going to be getting into when this game comes about! These programs and games of which you speak are mere pimples on a gnats ass when it comes to noise and team support.
Just like OU prides itself on its traadition of nat'l. championships and Heisman winners, LSU's reputation for noise and team support is legendary.
You all can come down here with your smugness and belittle what you don't know, but you are going to hear it in the streets, in the bars, in the restaurants, in the casinos, everywhere you go. The only place you MAY be able to get away from it is in your hotel room with earplugs.
And then, during the game, when crunch time comes, you'll be wishing for that level of noise because what you get then will truly make your head hurt!
So come on down here with that smug attitude, just like your football team, and be prepared for a life changing experience. Be prepared to be attacked by a wounded Tiger!

You forget that these are Louisiana corporate bigwigs and politicians. Let me give you one example: James Carville. Think he won't be hoarse after the game? Plus, our fans will get those tickets from the bigwigs and politicians. There won't be much sitting on hands by the LSU fans.

This will be MUCH louder than the north endzone of Death Valley. It will be even louder than the south endzone (throwing you SE nuts a bone :) ). The Super Dome is an acoustical nightmare. I went to a high school playoff game there a while ago and I left with my ears ringing. It will be AMAZINGLY LOUD.

I'm not really concerned with the loudness of the fans that are there, what I worry about is the percentage of LSU fans to Oklahoma fans. With the way tickets are distributed, any way to know who will have how many fans?

I can understand how OKLAHOMA fans and others from NON-SEC schools/conferences can "speculate" and wonder about the "DIVY " of tickets and % - #'s of actual LSU vs Oklehomie fans in the SuperDome for the National Championship. What I don't understand is how any LSU or Louisiana resident can doubt the lung capacity of even a fairweather grandma LSU Fan not being 8X louder, evoking 10X the energy/passion, causing and creating 20X the stir/attention!!!! Come on people. As smart as most of you regulars are with the x's & o's, I've got to wonder how long you've lived in Lousiana and if you've forgotten Louisiana history, the culture and people who live here, who runs it and how it operates. ITS POLITICS BABY. DO YOU REALLY THINK THE SUGAR BOWL, NEW ORLEANS, THE OIL INDUSTRY, CHEMICAL PLANTS, SEAFOOD INDUSTRY, FILM/MUSIC/TOURISM INDUSTRY, THE PORTS OF NEW ORLEANS/BATON ROUGE, THE NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE SUPERDOME EMPLOYEES, TICKET TAKERS, JANITORS, .......................AND THE MOST BEAUTIFULL WOMEN ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET(LSU, SOUTH LA. WOMEN) ARE NOT GOING TO GET THOSE TICKETS OR FIND A WAY TO GET IN THE DOME????????????????? It will be at least 80% (devout) LSU fans versus a few loyal and insignificant(noise wise) Oklahomies. There will be many "neutral" tourist types, but they will quickly convert to LSU fans. I'll guaranty you, watch and you'll see...........that there WILL be more that a few OKLAHOMA fans who actually get mesmerized and caught up in the contagious spirit/energy of LSU fans/people...........THAT THEY WILL CONVERT AND CHEER FOR LSU AS WELL!!!!!!!! I'm not kidding. Watch the T.V. screen and you will know by their "colors" and Oklahoma dress, but will be "caught" cheering for the TIGAHS!!!!!! Don't kid yourself, the NOISE WILL CONFOUND, CONFUSE AND RATTLE THEM INTO MULTIPLE MISTAKES...........AND THEN IT WILL GET EVEN LOUDER...............THEN THEY WILL LOOK GOOFY AND UNSURE AS TO WHAT, WHO, WHY...............WE'VE SEEN IT MANY TIMES BEFORE................IT WILL HAPPEN "BEAUCOUP" FOR THIS GAME.........CHER.
