I'm not going to get suckered in to having a war of words with any of you guys. The game will be an awesome match up between 2 great teams. While I wish USC had a chance to prove themselves too, I think the 2 best teams in the nation will be playing each other. Forgive us Sooners when a few of our tacky fans act like jerks. Most Sooner fans are humble yet proud of our team and coaches. This video is what Oklahoma Football is all about....

    Sooner Fans,
I for one disagree with those who don't think Ou deserves to be in the game. Even though they were overhyped during the year, they still played a tougher schedule than USC and had the best record in the Big 12. I think the BCS did just as it was supposed to do and until everyone has a CCG, a team shouldn't be penalized for losing one.
I do think the two best teams are playing for the NC and if the truth be known, so do most of the writers out there but they just don't know how to justify moving LSU ahead of SC without SC losing.
Gonna be a great game and I am looking forward to riding around Norman/Moore/OKC with all my LSU colors after we win it!:geaux: :lsug:

    Sooner-jc,
Regarding our db's they are big, strong and have speed to burn. This is what makes them so good at man coverage. If they make a mistake, then they have the speed to recover. Plus we are deep at every position with the exception of free safety where Jack Hunt is the leader. LaRon Landry has really come on strong and his athleticism is exceptional.
What makes LSU's defense so strong is that the opponent never has any idea of what's coming or from where. One of the biggest assets the db's have is that they practice every day against probably the fastest and finest group of receivers in the country. Speed, speed and more speed along with strength and smarts sums up them and the entire LSU team.
As far as shutting down the running game, good luck. We go five deep at rb with Justin Vincent just setting a record in the SECCG. He has played in only seven games and rushed for nearly a 1000 yds, carrying the ball about 15 times a game. After him comes Alley Broussard, 235 lbs of dump truck with speed. He never goes backward. Want more? Joseph Addai, a nice combination of those two. Shyrone Carey, 5'6" of muscle, speed, shiftiness and heart. And we haven't even gotten to Barrington Edwards yet or Skyler Green running reverses. All of them catch the ball out of the backfield and we have two tight ends that can run the field.
If you think we have only one receiver in Michael Clayton, think again. Devery Henderson leads the team in Td catches. Skyler Green leads the nation in punt returns and both can outrun any db. Michael Clayton will knock db's and lb's on their butts. Just like the defense, you never know who or what is coming.
If Jimbo Fisher opens it up and our defense plays fairly well, it could be a long night for the Sooners.
I've followed LSU fb for 50 yrs and this is without a doubt the best team we've ever had. I wouldn't want to be playing them! :geaux: :lsug:

No doubt OKLA has a good team

S CAL AND LSU did what they had to do to get into the Sugar Bowl OKLA laid down and lost . I have been told they Okla had an off day I did not see that I saw that OKLA scored 1st then went to sleep . K STate played the same kind of a game that OLd Miss played with the tigers they K State were up for the game .Do I think that S CAL is a better team than OKLA no I do not but like LSU they did win their last game going away not even close ! Okla qb did not lead them to a win and yet he is the best in America BS . The best two teams are in the Sugar Bowl but S CAL did get robbed !!! By the way you do have the rIght to think that I am wrong . It will be a sold out bowl game game !!

Lying Homers ... come here and feign respect ...

Just go to ANY of these idiots websites ... and they're shining their #8 NC trophy already ... crowing about the beating they're going to give LSU ... 41-7 was one pick ... 35-7 was another ... and on and on.

Oh, and THEY ARE GOING TO COMPLETELY ~S~T~U~F~F~ the LSU running game.

    THAT WAS THE BEST ONE.

too much ... didn't even waste my time with a reply anywhere.

You think these morons would have a clue after KSU kicked the living shitt outta them and ran a freaking FREIGHT TRAIN OVER THEM FOR 250+ YARDS RUSHING.

Don't believe me ... look for yourself. ANY of their websites.

Just ignore these cocky bastids. They'll get theirs.

    No hope?

Uh-Oh Tiger fans, what we gonna do now? We are going up against the greatest college team of all time, with the winners of the Heisman, Butkus, Lombardi and Nagurski awards. That's four of the best college players in the nation on ONE team!! Do you think we should show up or just mail in our surrender now? Boy, I tell ya. I don't know about you guys, but I just quake in my shoes at the thought of being on the same field with these guys! After all, all we have is a slow average Qb, no running game and only one receiver to maybe catch a ball if he's lucky enough to have one thrown to him. And I don't even want to think about what that Heisman winner is gonna do to our fat slow dl and lb's, not to mention that our db's don't stand a chance to cover those speedy receivers.
Maybe we really should be playing SC, you think?  :dis:

    Re: No hope?

If the "experts" select you in pre season to be an award winner and you don't break both legs, you will get the award.

    LSU-OU

I don't have any love for LSU...but even as a life-long Sooner fan...I know LSU is a great team...loaded with speed and talent....not to mention has one of the best coaching staffs in the nation. I think it will be a close defensive game. The winner of turnovers will be the winner of the game.

Boy, many of the posters on this thread sound like the host and callers on that OU radio station -- only reversed.

Guess we both love our teams and expect to win. WOW, what a concept. I would say we should take lead from our teams and coaches and be respectful to each other. I don't know about you, but that would make for a boring couple of weeks on the boards.

We're better than you - nah nah nah nah nah!!!!!!

And Ramah - while you raise many valid and accurate arguments, I still say your wrong. Period.
