I'm a student at UT with the obligatory hatred of Oklahoma, but I'm also a Tiger fan and a football fan who has seen what the Sooners are capable of and know that this will definitely be a stiffer challenge for LSU than the condoms, I mean trojans, would have been. I think the ridiculous crap we've been hearing out of LA recently only further justifies that their fans don't deserve the satisfaction of being in N.O., and after Michigan detsroys them they'll have nothing to say.

I hope that we can bust open a couple big bombs after they have moved up to stop the run. 150 passing yards that are really effective. I would like a see a quick strike drive like the one with the long bomb to Henderson in the SECCG. Short pass, short pass, BOOM! If we can do that, we can really dominate.

Just about every Sooner fan I know has the utmost respect for LSU. We believe we are still the best team in the country and hope to prove it on Jan. 4th. I have seen both the Georgia games and the game against Alabama. LSU is very good! SEC is probably the best conference this year in my opinion.

I have heard that the biggest difference between LSU and OU's defenses is that LSU plays mainly man to man and OU plays mainly zone. OU fans is that correct about OU? LSU does play man to man.

Nothing wrong with thinking your team is the best, Soonerfan. We think the same thing around here. ;) I agree about the SEC this year. Last year was kind of ho-hum, and I thought the Big-12 or even Big-10 were stronger (not to take anything away from those conferences this year).

Tigermark, thats exactly what I mean. Mauck was 14-22 for 151 yards against UGA, and he did everything he needed to do to lead the team to the win. OU has an excellent secondary, and their LBs are better. We need to be very oportunistic in the passing game. Because of this, I would like to see Mauck given a little more liberty, i. e. the play everyone was raving over Jimbo about. Something tricky with the option to run or throw. Of course, depending on how well Vincent can run, we may not even need to.

I am right there with you MobileBengal. All I have to say is... RUN MAUCK RUN!!! That will open up everything. I sure wish this game was this week. I hate how bowl games end up being between two totally different teams. I can pretty much guarantee that LSU and OU will change everything between now and Jan 4th. Expect us to line up in the wishbone and OU to run the Fun-n-Gun. ;) With a month to prepare, they always look different. I think that that kind of ruins things. I want to see how OU would handle us right now, without 4 weeks to prepare.

My 2 cents. LSU vs. OU is the better game. We would have blown USC out. Period.

OU and LSU will be a dogfight that will come down to who tires first. I think we have the upper hand here, as we have conditioned all year in the heat and humidity of S. Louisiana.

OU will not look past us (where else is there to look). Their media up there is probably just as stupid and the rest of the countries (including here in Nashville, they are crying that USC should be there).

OU fans. Welcome to the board. It's good to have classy, intelligent fans from an opposing school stop by. I look forward to your posts.

OU's defense does rely primarily on zone. Not too many teams in the Big 12 go man on OU's offense because they don't have the athletes. LSU does though. It will be interesting!

Well Saban's speciality is Defensive Backs, so you can see why he expects alot out of them. It should be a very interesting match up against OU's receivers. They did good against some of the best in the SEC.

I will agree with the Sooner fans on this one, they deserve to be in the game just as much as we do. USC is out, the BCS picked the two best teams end of story.
