No one wants to kick anyone out of anywhere. but let's go with your IF.

Ok, if the people are still on campus in the PMAC, have not had a real meal, or any form of entertainment for two weeks, and are ready to give up.

You tell me this wouldn't be good for them.

Thousands of Tiger fans enter the campus and invite these folks to their tailgates to share in some of the finest food in America. We slap the game on the big screen in the PMAC to give them something to do.

Feed em real food, entertain them, show them the hospitality of the people of Baton Rouge, and then just for a kicker we dedicate the game to them.

a day like that would lift even the lowest spirits, even if only for a day.

Bottom line guys is that this is a very emotional past few days to say the least. Thousands of emotions pass thru everyone of us every day that goes by.

Can we PLEASE stop fighting amongst ourselves?? The bottom line here is that there is NOTHING being said here that will impact the decision either to play a game, or not to play. That sort of thing will come from people higher up.

We're NOT playing this week, and that's all we need to know. Who knows what next week will bring? It was just 3 days ago that we all thought New Orleans dodged a serious bullet only to be wrong less than 24 hours later forcing us to be in the situation that we're in now.

So much has happened in the past 72 hours, giving prof that it's pointless to be arguing over what will happen a full 9 days from now and beyond.

Right now, knowing that we're not playing this week, all I want is for all of those people still stuck in the city to be rescued and moved to safety. After that, I will lobby to attempt to return to normalcy.

Now we greive and help....but there will come a time where you have got to stop and start trying to return to your normal routines as much as possible.

Is Houston 70 miles from the biggest natural disaster in the history of America?

Is their home stadium only a few feet away from a medical triage hub?

Are they surrounding the Astrodome with 100,000+ civillians and outrageously large traffic volumes?

Is Houston's population fixing to double with stranded New Orleans citizens?

    You are being incredibly short-sighted.

    Dude,

There are a million people homeless. These are Louisiana residents. The state government, of which LSU falls under in part, is focused on one thing... The survival of the most populous group of people in the state.

I'd love to see LSU play next week because emotionally, it would be a huge boost to Louisiana residents. I'd love to believe that life will be normal enough and we'll be ready to do so. But as much as I try to figure out how that might happen, I just can't come up with a plausible scenario.

You are focused on a insignificant football game. IMO, you are a pathetic human being. You have zero perspective and can't get your little mind around the depth of the damage that has been done.

    I thought you were 'out?'

I don't normally mind your immature ravings, but you have gone way over the line this time and need to be corrected.
