Don't have a clue what you mean. Prior to the BCS LSU would have played in... the Sugar Bowl and very likely against OU who would have to watch Kansas State play in the Orange.
hate to take on the personna of another poster, but.... a playoff is where its at. better get used to it because it is going to be a FACT. it will not stop at 4 teams, it will expand to 16. not a lie, just a truth. Come back in 10 years and if I am wrong, then I shouldn't be. there should definitely be a playoff....16 teams. Sourdough...I do see your point, but, if a 2 or 3 or 4 loss team beats a no loss team, a 1 loss team and another 0 or 1 loss team.....can you say that they were not the best team and don't deserve a championship? Take this year. 8-4 #16 Florida, for example...beats #1 BCS OU, then beats #8 FSU....then beats #4 Michigan and #2 LSU.....They don't deserve a title? That is the ultimate test of a champion, in my opinion. Hell yes I'd say they were National Champs....but that IS an extreme example.
i dont think we will ever have a playoff of more than 8 teams, and i think its most likely it will be only 4. i dont see universities wanting to add 3 games to their schedule to win the national championship.
I'm much more satisfied with the BCS then with the old system, it gets a national champion, whether USC agrees or not. While a playoff is a better method, we're still a good 3 or 4 years away from it if its going to happen.
