Thank-you so much for posting this thread. I have been so angry at NS for leaving that I have lost sight of all that he has done for LSU. I wish him all the best in the NFL!

    GO TIGERS!!!

I'll be mad at Nick unless we beat Iowa on New Year's Day.

No matter what, I hope that the Saints kick his butt next year.

Is it possible that Saban could return to coach the LSU Tigers in about 5 years?

Hmmm. . . maybe I'd like to see him fail miserably in Miami and come back to LSU.

Yeah! That's the ticket!! Go Jets! Go Patriots! Go Bills!

I see what you are saying.. I have seen other people saying similar things..... but... think about it.. There is no way I would ever want Saban back at LSU because it would basically mean that whichever coach we end up getting would be failing to win. I want LSU to be successfull with the coach we end up getting. In five years, I want to be proud of my LSU coach. :geaux:

    Boy, imagine this scenario --

Saban doesn't do too hot in NFL, around this time Bertman retires, and Saban comes back to be AD.

    Unlikely, but food for thought.

Ferentz coaching LSU and is very successful for 5 years. Saban is unable to be successful with Miami during those 5 years. Ferentz goes to Miami. Saban comes back to LSU.

    ^^^ Is that what you're suggesting? :D

    Hypothetical scenarios are fun. :)

    Saban

Hang on, hang on....got to step up into this circle jerk. Let me wipe my eyes and blow my nose. Okay, better now. I'm with the group--I was distrought saturday, now after taking 2, 3 no make that 4 valuums I am more open now.
I cant blame Saban--He followed his dream. Hope we all get to always follow our dreams and be successful. Thats what I learned after clearing the alcohol induced cob webs from my head while earning my diploma from LSU.
We made a successful choice in 1959, we failed in 1987 and Skip is no Joe Dean. He has hired alot of successful coaches for his staffs over the years. Even had to coach against on of them in the championship game back in 1997.
So Like some one said earlier today, last week was stressful, this week is like opening presents at christmas. who will it be?
