It's sad, it's really really sad. I had to argue with a friend of mine the other day because his POV was, "it's not fair that some people get to go to harvard because they have money and some don't" I about lost my GD mind. I'm no histroy major but I'm sure all if not most democracies that have ever existed have at one point collapsed and failed. In case any of you have not noticed we are losing this country at a high rate of speed and it's because of this type of thinking. My wife and I earn about 100k a year. Not rich by any standard other than the GD liberals who want to take more of it away from me. I'm sick and tired of this "oh woe as me, I want this and I want that I want my gvt to buy it for me". Thats the kind of crap I hear from my worthless sister in law except she wants my wife and I to buy it for her. The jobs are out there, go find them and go to work. If you are pissed off because someone makes more money than you, then go get a better job. Quit all this belly aching over the pay scale and do something about it other than wanting a MF'ing hand out. It's bullsh*t and it's going to run the country that my grandfather, my father, all the other service men and women and myself have defended and often died for. Some of you need to wake the hell up. OKay I'm done.
Yeah, great point...since, ya know, they've been the ones in power for the past 7+ years. Don't be such a reactionary. I'm certainly no fan of the left, but the right has done everything it can to screw us over in recent year...and they're doing a good job of it.
On this we can agree and I do blame the politicians. One party is in bed with big business and the other party is inclined to rob it. No one is looking for a proper balance anymore. We really need a moderate third party in this country.
sorry, most/all dominant world powers (certainly not democracies, though) have lost power because of financing wars. funny, more inline with the recent history of the political party that mostly holds your view.
dead-on there. ive tended to vote for third party since 92 even if im not in love with the candidate. just to shake things up. im praying hard for bloomberg. hey, just think, we can choose between a WASP, Mormon, Black, Woman, or Jew. The only thing left is an athiest that admits it.
