This is all a bunch of silly, speculative non-sense from someone who is pro-Vikings. Our first turnover against AZ occurred when we were down 7-0, btw. Also, we gave up an early score to Carolina, too, but then the defense got into a groove and played a good game against a strong run team, much like we did against AZ.
Saints and give 4 points -vegas If Buddy D was right about one thing, it was the odds makers get it way more right than anyone else including the experts. :thumb:
These are the best two teams in the NFC and it should be a good battle. If both teams are completely healthy, I believe the Saints are the better team. The Saints have the larger margain of victory this year and only lost three games when... 1) they had a massive number of injuries 2) nothing to play for They led Tampa 17-0 and then just started going through the motions. Dallas had to win and played their best game of the season yet the Saints were a dropped TD by Henderson from tying the game. Against Carolina the Saints rested many starters including Brees. If Minnesota's D-line can get the pressure or the Saints secondary plays poorly, the Vikings can win. If Minnesota has trouble getting to Brees, the Saints should win as they have a better offense. Neither has won a Super Bowl so one will get a chance this year.
The Saints gave up long 1st drive touchdown runs against Atlanta and Carolina, and a long 1st quarter TD to Miami. All Saints victories.
Considering Sean Payton has already said he should have given Bushrod some help against Ware, I think its safe to assume he won't make the same mistake against Allen.
I'm betting Sean Payton noticed that Bush played pretty well against the Cards, and is preparing to use him more against the Vikes. But he'll likely be limited in one aspect: considering he lit up the Vikes for 2 punt return TDs last year (and was a turf monster tackle away from a third), only an idiot would punt him the ball this weekend.
If I remember right, Jarred Allen really did much until that backup for the cowboys came in. Not to mention we will be at home where we won't have to go on silent count. Establishing the run, hard counts, and TE/RB clips will keep them from pinning their ears back. Oh and their QB was Tony Oh-no, ours is Drew Brees. 24-10! Black and gold to the super bowl. Whodat!
Agree fully. Greer and Porter will allow Sharper to play centerfielder, which is the defensive key to victory. Childress is an idiot, but Favre offsets him on the field, so that is a wash. Brees and a solid run performance will secure a win. Healthy, I really think the Saints are the better team and will win.
