If Jefferson had had as much playing time as Lee did this year I think we would have some much better progression at the position.

Miles should start Lee in the bowl.

That way, in a couple years after he has transferred to another team, Lee can say he started a bowl.

Isn't that what we said about Keiland Williams? They guy was arguably the best RB in the nation, we get him, he has a solid freshman season, but nothing really to hang his hat on, and he hasn't contributed like we thought he would. Big disappointment thus far, in my opinion.

I thought Al Woods was the next Chad Lavalais, but he too has been a dud thus far. Does anyone realize he'll be a senior next year?

I think Shepard will come in and contribute, but I'm not sure if he's going to come in and dominate everyone like some think. I hope he will be our Tebow, but we don't know yet.

Hope you are wrong and he does improve.

Well I have seen him play in person a couple of times this year and he really is all that. Though college, and the SEC are a big step up. How Lee and JJ play next year will tell the tale.

The biggest anolomy in the LSU QB situation has to be how different Lee is when he is the two minute drill. It's a different QB. Perhaps the offense should just run a 1990's Bufalo Bills, no-huddle, point a minute-style offense?

Jarrett Lee has a quick release, a strong arm, can be very accurate, is plenty mobile although not a runner per se. This year - he played like a freshman with no experience. Because, that's what he was. But, even when being BOOED by classless fans (most of which have never put a helmet on themselves), he still came back in a couple of those games and played very, very well. So I have not written him off yet. I'm actually surprised at how many people think they know enough to be able to speak in absolutes about the guy.

JJ, on the other hand, played with guts also, and used his wheels to get him out of trouble a couple of times, and ran some designed runs a couple of times. He looks poised for a 19 year old kid, big, strong. Seems to have a rifle of an arm and showed some touch once or twice as well. But he ran about (and I'm guessing here) 25% of the offense. And he did NOT lead LSU to wins against opponents they should have been able to beat. So how that performance is clearly better than Lee's is amusing to me. Lee threw a scary number of pics (about half for six?), but he also engineered some late game drives with his arm that JJ showed basically zero ability to muster. Tell me again why that's not important?

Freshmen have, in the past, taken the starting job at major universities and done well. Without doing research, I'd bet most of them were redshirt freshmen, and of the rest, they probably mostly came in roughly mid-season to spell a struggling upperclassman or fill-in for an injury. T. Pryor is probably an exception. R. Sheppard may just be as capable as Pryor.

    We'll see.

This is true when the coaches did't ask them to do so much. You never saw Terrell Pryor play a series when the pass plays outnumbered the running plays 3:1. The plays he ran were carefully scripted, with a couple reads. Same with Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy their freshman seasons.

Yea Bandit, don't know what you were watching, but Lee is less mobile that a concrete block. And is more like a shotgun than a rifle when it come to accuracy. He definitely has a gun though.
