Kinda thought 'The Nature Boy' would be the next rassler to die, as he seemed to have 1 foot in the grave a couple of weeks ago. Heenan was at his best as a commentator with Mean Gene Okerlund, as he shamelessly pulled for the heels, but he was hilarious. Even better than the king, in my opinion.

Jerry "The King" Lawler pulled one of my favorite wrestling moments years ago. He was doing color on the Royal Rumble and kept referring to a surprise coming up. So midway through, the bell rings to call the next wrestler to the ring, and he says, "That's me!" and heads for the ring. He was the surprise. Then he jumps through the ropes and someone closeline'd him right back over the top rope. He wasn't in the ring for 3 seconds. He hit the ground, went back to the announcer's table, put on the headset and went on announcing as if he'd never stopped.

Side note, having nothing to do with that story or this thread. The current NWA North American Heavyweight Champion is "Mustang" Mike Beadle of Morgan City, LA.

Where do you go when you've already lived your whole life in heaven?

The Big Grotto in the sky I guess.

Can't say I really give a shit about Playboy but Hefner is absolutely iconic and there is nobody who has lived the way he did. And despite his sexualization of the female body, I have no doubt whatsoever that Hugh truly loved and respected women beyond their inherent sexual value. He treated his daughter like gold.
