Greatest pure hitter of all time. Think he recorded 4 or more seasons with less than 20 strikeouts, unreal RIP TG
What an amazing talent. A short Jewish dude from New York and he nails the classic Western bad guy. Married for 66 years....that is SO rare. Hook em Horns Eli!
He was an amazing talent and great human being. You just can't find anyone to say something bad about him. Revered in San Diego.
Amen to that, I molded my stance approach and work routine hitting the ball after him. Pure swing, and hand eye was unlike any others.
I was watching spiderman2 and how old is Stan Lee ? Plus Doris Day and Maureen O'Hara come to mind as being still around
Bob Hastings, the Lt on the classic TV Sho, McHale's Navy, had passed. He was 89. He played the role of Capt Wally Binghampton's "yes man" aid, Lt Carpenter. Must be honest and admit that McHale's Navy in no small way, influenced me toward making a career of the navy. I tried hard to emulate the zany crew of the PT 73, sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. Fair winds and following seas, Mr Hastings.
Well, that explains a lot. Funny, you look kind of like Tim Conway . . . Like, I was a fan of Maynard G. Krebs from Dobie Gillis, Daddy-O. A hipster life of maximum slack. He was like Coolsville, can you dig?
