Butch Davis and Steve Spurrier could also be on the market.

    I also like:

    Urban Meyer - Utah
    Mike Bellotti - Oregon

The Holiday Bowl isn't a big game? :D

I am joking about Brown. He is a younger John Cooper.

no....OU game is every year, and every year he gets the big L. Arkansas was a big game this year, lots of hype, LOSS. The Holiday Bowl UT won was because Applewhite played, in effect giving Mack the finger for benching him over Sims and ending his UT career a winner. Hell, they even lost the Big 12 championship game IN DALLAS to Colorado..they would have gone to the national championship had he won that one.

Not to mention all the countless losses to Florida State when he was the coach of an excelent UNC team in the 1990s.

Mack Brown is a good recruiter, but he cannot win the big ones.

    History does not lie...............

If Nick leaves, Glen Mason will be a candidate. He most likely will get paid enough to do away with any Ohio State escape clauses. Mason is a college coach who won't leave for the NFL. He's done a good job with the disadvantages at Minny: Crappy Stadium, one of the smallest budgets in the big ten, low attendance. He does not want any rebuilding jobs, but he would take a job that puts him closer to a national title.

He would gladly come down to LSU for his last job before retirement and stay 5 or 6 years in Baton Rouge. Either way he gets a big payday and a chance at big time success. He is a good coach. 9-3 at Minny 5-3 in the big ten is a super job. Nick went 9-2 and 6-2 in his last season at MSU.

With Mason you'd be getting a good coach who won't have to deal with any NFL rumors.

I'm glad we have a coach good enough so that we have to deal with NFL rumors.

I see Steve Spurrier as the only coach that could get it done.
