Ultimately that's what i would love to see. The entire lower bowl replaced over time.

I can only take your second hand info into account because I certainly don't know any better.

A quick look at some on some of the walkways definitely makes one worry a tad bit though.

That would be awesome. Especially since that's where the band stops. Hopefully the glass wouldn't be sound proof.

Yes it would be one hell of a renovation; I've been in the dorms before and it is not pretty at all.

Up until some point in the 1990s (I believe), some student organizations had meeting rooms in the dorms. I guess it was at that point they realized the asbestos problem and shut them down completely. After that they fell into disrepair and people also broke in and trashed them.

Tiger Stadium will be there until Osama bin Laden figures out a way to create an
atom bomb missile that reaches Louisiana.

There are crazy fans...and then there are LSU fans. You don't mess with LSU fans and considering a whole new Tiger Stadium would be messing with LSU fans. That would get ugly. I know you said you weren't for a whole new stadium, I'm just saying...

It's like old houses on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans. You don't knock down those things. You renovate, etc. People love the old, unique features and that's why it costs so much to live in that area. LSU's keeping up fine with all the surrounding facilities, etc. You upgrade, renovate, etc. But you never knock that whole thing down. You don't mess with greatness.

Of course, we replaced The Box and that was great. But Tiger Stadium goes back a long time and is in a league of its own.

Doubtful. Like any great thing, it will also see it's end eventually.

Definitely would not be well received. However, there sure are some appealing aspects of a new stadium. I wonder fi people would even go for the complete rebuilding of the lower bowl. If those old dorm rooms were gone, would people really care?

I suppose you're right. Next thing we know, they'll build a new Yankee Stadium and tear the old one down.
