    Like now. This was an engineered action. Only a very few radicals made a little noise. Polling shows a majority of African Americans in the area wre in favor of keeping the monuments. This was manufactured by little moon, Walter Issakson and few few other WHITE liberals.

    Yes he was a genuine great man and deserves the honor as does Beauregard who was very important in the development of the infrastructure of the city in the 1880s & 90s.

    For what specifically? For fighting against the United States? For fighting to keep slavery?

    And thus you're trapped... because that's exactly WHY he was memorialized as proven by the fact that he is depicted in full military battle uniform.
