My predictions: Jennings will play 75 % of the snaps. And certainly during the time the game has not been put away by LSU. So if Harris comes in the middle of the 3rd quarter due to LSU being up 38-3, that really doesn't count (in terms of Harris "deserving more playing time"). Let's see if it is mixed in early and often between the 2 QBs, and only then will I believe Harris is being given a fair chance at taking over the reins. LSU will not attempt over 25 passes. Missed opportunity to get these young QBs more experience and confidence against inferior competition. There will be approximately 75 to 80 plays run by this offense. It makes no sense to run the ball 50 plus times in this game. But that is likely the case.
I'm hoping you're wrong about Harris' playing time, but honestly you're probably right. Here's hoping we see a glimmer of thinking outside the box.
Concerning our O and D lines... don't get a sense of false security tonight. Our lines will play lights out today, NMSU won't be able to take advantage of the glaring deficiencies making it appear our lines have tuned a corner. We won't know anything for another week.
I would love to see Harris, Fournette, and Dupre all run the offense for an entire quarter, obv won't be the first qtr but if LSU plays well in the first, I dont understand why Harris LF and MD don't try to get some experience before we play Auburn.(A game I think we have a great chance on winning and getting back into the mix of things in the West.)
