Well we try to be fair and alllow rejects (Aubarn fans) on here to make things more... uhmmm... interesting. Glad to see you still hanging around ya reject!
this basically proves nothing. all that means is JC was way more effective with his fewer attempts this year. more attempts dont mean $hit if you dont make TDs or 1st downs. you simply cannot deny that campbells improvement was the key to the teams success. remember 4th & 13? no way in hell JC of '03 makes that play, and AU is 0-1 in the SEC. as for comparing our RBs in head-to-head...we outrushed you in '03 as well.
Miles is a wait and see just like almost any coach, but I think he is a good hire. I like the staff that he has chosen. I will be disappointed if we do not represent the West in Atlanta. I would think most Tiger fans would be disappointed with anymore than two losses in the regular season unless we get to Atlanta anyway and win the SEC. Then, I don't think the record would matter. I could see us losing to Florida and Tennessee. We probably win one of those games though and lose to a team like Arizona State, Auburn, or Alabama. To me our team is similar to last year without the Marcus Randall weight dragging us down and with a year more experience and the tough games at home. We basically return everyone on offense considering Russell was a co-starter and Wilkerson did not start for the last few games of the season due to injury. On defense, we lose Spears, Turner, Webster, and Daniels, but it seems like we have great people ready to step in to those spots. The two main problems last year were the lack of a passing game and inconsistent kicking. I don't know if anyone was added to compete with Jackson for extra points. Hopefully, he gets more consistent. I think the passing game will be improved. I sure hope Russell, Perrilloux, or Flynn steps up big time and we can have a passing game that reminds us of Davey to Reed. I think Auburn can definitely win the West again. I would expect Alabama to be the main competition to LSU and Auburn if Croyle stays healthy. I think that we hope that the Auburn defense has weakened with the loss of your secondary and Chizik, and the offense is weakened due to the loss of your quarterback and running backs. Courtney Taylor and some of your other receivers scare me. I remember that some thought this year's quarterback might beat out Campbell during spring, so maybe your offense won't miss a beat. I see Auburn as our perennial competition for the West. I think we have more talent, but you certainly have enough talent to win. I think you have a very good head coach. I like that he fires assistants if they don't produce. I am hoping you get an at large bid to the BCS and win the Sugar and LSU wins the SEC and the Rose Bowl.
KTeam, have you been hitting the sauce tonight? Pretty surly! Hahahahaha... I love the RB discussion. I'm partial to Cadillac of the two Auburn guys but they'll both be solid in the NFL. Broussard is my favorite back since Diesel, and is, IMO, the most similar to Caddy. Someone posted on here recently about Addai being a natural fit in the NFL, and I think they're right. AND, if JV can get back to form, that's a ridiculous trio of backs. That said, I think the jury is still out on comparing the RBs between AU and LSU. It would be foolish to rule out the possibility of two of 'em going very very high in the draft soon. Oh, and welcome all you new posters! Great to see some different schools posting (and should help us know the enemy even better!) Watch out Brett, this could turn into the SEC Forum!
and now the classy LSU fans come out. I knew they weren't just rumors. startin to feel a little more welcome now! so apparently all auburn fans have gay genes?..thats a new one. nice job in the capital one bowl or whatever game you lost. chaos, i know that the attempts doesn't really prove a lot but I was trying to show you that the backs were not the only part of our offense prior to this season. gettin in the endzone, they were, but when you have two of the best backs in the nation in your backfield why risk throwin the ball in the redzone? i'm not sure if campbell would have made that throw in years prior, but i know that not many people anywhere believed in him before that game. that was his coming out game and he never looked back. and comparing the rb's head to head means nothing. they are running behind different lines against different defenses. i was just showing you the stats for that game.
