    Yea, but there were no mortars or 122mm rockets in SW Louisiana.

    Point taken didnt see any of that while there base was well protected at that time. Was TDY with the 31st tactatical fighter air wing was mostly F-100 Super Sabre's with some Skymaster's.

    We had F-100s @ Bien Hoa along with A-37s and the C-123's that flew the Ranch Hand (Agent Orange) missions. We also had O-2's. I flew some missions with the squadron that flew the psy ops missions. The ARVN were responsible for our outer perimeter security. That explains the rockets & mortars.

    You did a lot more than I did I was in POL and humped all day on the flight line fueling the Sabre. Did get to go to Bangkok for R&R quite a sexual education for this Cajun boy
